~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Offense ~ Disciplinary Action We stand by the 3-Strike Rule. Members will be given three warnings, with the third resulting in a Guild Counsel meeting to review and decide if the member should be removed from the guild.
Warning 1 – You will be verbally warned and so noted on your character. An in game mail will be sent to you as a reminder. This will stand for 30 days, at the end of such time if there are no more violation the warning will be removed.
Warning 2 – If there is a second offense in the 30-day period, you will get a written warning via game mail, and loose one rank. You will also loose bank privileges and be exempt from promotions during this time. This is a 60-day warning period. At the end of said time, if no other violations are noted the warning will be removed and you will regain all privileges.
Warning 3 – For a third offense during this 60-day period, a Guild Counsel Meeting will be called 24 hours after the warning has been placed. At such time the Officers and Guild Leader will review all information presented, screenshots, member mail complaints, etc., decide on said members guild removal.
Note: The first warning will be for the character in question. Second warnings will affect all of said member’s characters in the guild. If a removal from the guild is decided, said member will remove all of their characters immediately - Or they will be removed for them.
Key Offenses that can get you immediate warnings.
Profanity – Defined as:
A profanity (or bad word, swear word, curse word, cuss word, dirty word, or collectively foul, bad or strong language) under current colloquial use is a word, expression, gesture, or other usage which is socially constructed as insulting, rude or vulgar. ...
Why is this a big deal?
1) Its a Banable Offence by Blizzard to use Profanity.
2) Its not nice for the Younger members
3) Its not polite to use bad language
4) Most members don’t what hear Bad language on guild chat or public channels
5) The Unsworn currently has a good reputation on the server. People swearing in both, guild and public chats, does not look good for either the guild or its members.
How can you help stop the use of profanity?
1) You can think before you hit the return key. Set an example.
2) You can Filter your bad language (i.e. B$$$$$d, Sh$t)
3) You can be creative and expand your vocabulary, there are many other words you can use.
4) Remember who you are talking to and who may be listening.
5) If you feel the need for an adult type conversation, create a channel for you and your friends.
As quoted from another awesome guild, “A good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't say it in front of your grandmother, then don't say it in guild chat. If your grandmother uses that type of language, then go join her guild.”
1) Its a reportable Offence by Blizzard.
2) You get a very bad reputation across the server.
3) Our guild gets a bad name from your actions.
How can you help stop Ninja Looting?
1) Ask about the loot rules BEFORE the run starts.
2) Read and learn OUR loot rules, they are common to the server.
Bashing - Defined as:
Bashing is a harsh, gratuitous, prejudicial attack on a person, group, or subject. When you deliberately attack a person using offensive and/or inappropriate language.
We DO NOT go around ‘bashing’ anyone! Bashing of members of your own guild or that of ANY GUILD is strictly prohibited. Bashing or Harassment of any guild as a whole is unacceptable! All reports of such actions are taken VERY seriously. Immediate investigation will occur and members in question will be addressed promptly.
Why is this a big deal?
1) Its a Banable Offence by Blizzard to bash or insult other players.
2) It sets a bad example to all members.
3) Our guild is based on Honor and Respect. To retain that we all must demonstrate that!
How can you help stop the use of Bashing?
1) If you have a problem with a member, report them to an officer.
2) Put them on your Ignore List!
3) If you have a problem with another guild, Bring It To an Officer.
4) Remember not all members of a guild you dislike are bad people. They deserve respect too.
5) If you have a problem with an outside member, report it to Blizzard.
6) When in doubt, DON”T!!
